A Love Meant to Be
Fate has a way of weaving two hearts together in the most unexpected yet perfect ways. Our journey began through a mutual friend, but little did we know, destiny had already begun writing a love story that would change our lives forever.
Our first meeting was at a group outing at Ike’s Café and Grill, where laughter echoed, conversations flowed, and music filled the air. When the live band played, I saw the perfect moment to set Oreoluwa up for a dance—an innocent gesture that became the spark of something extraordinary. She danced, she laughed, and in that moment, I knew there was something special about her.
Months passed, and life gave us another beautiful chapter. A road trip to a wedding became more than just a journey—it was an adventure of laughter, deep conversations, and moments that made our bond stronger. Each mile we traveled brought us closer, and by the time we returned, I knew my heart was beginning to beat differently—for her.
Then came the moment I knew this love was meant to last forever. One evening, Oreoluwa hosted a group of her friends at her home, filling the space with warmth, joy, and laughter. As the evening came to an end, she did something that melted my heart—she packed all the leftover food for me to take home. It was such a simple gesture, yet it spoke volumes. In that moment, I saw not just love but care, thoughtfulness, and a heart that was ready to cherish mine.
As our connection deepened, I taught Oreoluwa how to drive. With each turn, every cautious brake, and the shared moments of trust, we grew closer. And then, we had our first movie date—a night filled with stolen glances and nervous excitement. That evening, I finally asked her to be mine. She said yes!
Days turned into months, and love blossomed in the most beautiful way. One year later, with a heart full of certainty and a love that had only grown stronger, I got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with me.
She said YES, again—this time, to a lifetime together.
And just like that, our love story continues… 💕
